Encinitas Country Day School is now fully “accredited” by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. WASC Accreditation is the highest standard available for a school in the western United States. Thanks for all the effort put forth by our administration, professional staff, parents, students and friends to provide the WASC Visiting Committee with a clear view of our school and programs. This week, is the most anticipated week for Encinitas Country Day Middle School students. Eighth graders embark on their “Close Up” tour of Washington, D.C. and seventh grade students head out for a week in Yosemite National Park. Middle School trips support curriculum objectives and give students a broader perspective of their nation, government and natural resources.
Join our environmental biologist Cindy Daverin for a family hike of the conservation trail loop. Learn about local riparian and upland habitats. Collect and examine water samples taken from our on-campus seasonal stream and identify native plants and animals that live right on our campus. Sign up for hikes that begin from the central promenade booth every half hour during the open house.
School insignia-wear and red-tailed hawks athletic apparel are available through the school’s front office and will soon be available for online ordering.
