Principal’s Message

Middle School Canned Food Drive

Community Service is one of the areas being emphasized in the 7th & 8th grade Character classes this year. In addition to each student being required to perform 10 hours of community service, the 7th and 8th grades are also hosting a Canned Food Drive until November 3. Please bring non-perishable food items and place them in the food collection box in your student’s classroom. The food that is collected will be taken by the Middle Schoolers to the North County Food Bank. The students will also get a tour of the facility and learn exactly what goes on there and who receives help from this food bank.

Fall Festival

What a great time was had by all! I am again amazed by all of the excitement and energy that is generated each year by our amazing PTO. Thanks to ALL!!!!!! the parents who contributed their time, effort, and incredible imagination to making this year’s festival the best yet. Special thanks to Mrs. Susan Bachand-Morone for her hard work and vision in creating the newest addition to the festival, the Haunted House. It is just so heartwarming to see so many of us pull together to create a fun, exciting, and memorable day for our children. Thank you!!!

Thanks,

— Mr. Lehmunn

The Encinitas Blvd. Halloween Parade and the Fall Festival were a big success. Thank you to all the parents that volunteered their time for these events. We appreciate you very much. Some upcoming dates to remember…Manchester Ave. Campus Orientation will be Sunday, November 6 from 1-4 pm. This will be a great chance to view the other campus and meet some of the Kindergarten and Elementary teachers. Remember, this month is early re-enrollment discount month for the Manchester Ave. campus only. Our re-enrollment at the Encinitas Blvd. campus will start January 2012. Permanent Impressions, a child safety company, will be at our campus on Nov. 7th & 8th. Please see me for details. Have a safe and happy Halloween weekend!

Thanks,
