« 6th Grade - Creating Soccer Balls using a Polygon Dodecagon Pattern »

Mrs. McBride’s 6th Grade students have concluded studying geometry, prisms, and polygons in their math lessons. They are now creating 3-dimensional geometrical solids by making their own soccer balls using a polygon dodecagon pattern. This is similar to a quilting project, applying understanding of tessellation while using skills of hand sewing and color arrangement. When the students complete these multi-colored handcrafted soccer balls, they will enjoy them for their own personal indoor use or as a gift.
