To increase appetites for new and varied reading material, ECDS 3rd grade students enjoyed the annual Book Tasting event. Their classrooms were transformed into virtual reading restaurants, StarBooks and Flippin’ Books, complete with place mats and menus to entice them to sample all the offerings prepared by their classmates. Students rotated seats on a timetable, perusing menu descriptions and book excerpts in order to complete written evaluations and rank their top choices.
