Kindergarten students had their annual visit from the Encinitas Fire Department on Thursday, Oct. 9. The firefighters described each of their jobs on their crew, explained the difference between a firetruck and a fire engine, and talked with the students about how to be safe in a fire by staying low underneath the smoke. Then, the students went outside to see all of the firefighting equipment on the fire engine. The students even got to sit inside the fire engine and pretend to drive it, which was very exciting for everyone!
