Encinitas Country Day School students are afforded broad opportunities to dance and sing their way though each day. Music and Drama classes are offered during the school day, and after-school enrichment classes in piano keyboard, rock band, musical theater skills workshops offered by the Polestar Performing Arts Academy *, and dance afford students a full selection to develop their talents to the highest level.
(*Polestar Lifetime Learning Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) public benefit non-profit corporation that is currently operating on our campus offering enrichment opportunities to students from any local school without regard for their ability to pay.)
Students will find opportunities to enrich their musical interests with a variety of single instrument, band, glee club and musical theater classes. Private and group classes are offered as student interest and ability demands. Contact Nicky Crawford for more information.
ECDS students sign up for after school or summer workshops offered by the Polestar Performing Arts Academy * or audition for an upcoming Polestar Musical Theater Production.

Our dance classes offer a a variety of classical and jazz dance techniques, terminology, stretching and strengthening, and hip hop, tailored to the specific needs of a group enrolled for beginning, intermediate and advanced classes.
