ECDS celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the opening of the Manchester Avenue campus on Monday, September 14. Students gathered in the Amphitheater, and they enjoyed a dance presentation from the Polestar theater company to start the celebration. Then, Mrs. Kathleen Porterfield-LaBerge gave a presentation to describe the ribbon cutting ceremony that took on the campus opening day in September 2005. Students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade had written prayers in preparation for the anniversary event, and Mrs. Porterfield-LaBerge chose one student from each grade to come on stage with her and release a dove while she read their prayer. The special event concluded with a ceremonial release of doves and birthday cake for everyone.
