Mrs. Carp’s 2nd Grade class sold lots of vegetables to their families at their Garden Sale last Tuesday, including arugula, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, collard greens, curly kale, dinosaur kale, swiss chard, and herbs. Some of the produce was grown and harvested from their classroom garden, and families brought in additional items from their home gardens for the sale. The students took turns being cashiers to enhance their lessons about money, using cash registers to figure out the total cost for their family’s order and give change back.
