2nd Grade students went on their annual field trip to Miner’s Gems and Minerals in Old Town last Wednesday. The 2nd Grade is learning about rocks and minerals in their Earth Science studies, and this field trip enhanced their studies with information about rocks and minerals found in San Diego County. The students enjoyed panning for minerals just like the miners did in the California Gold Rush, and they were excited to find many colorful rocks in their pans.
