Mrs. Carp’s 2nd Grade class discussed Fundamental Needs of Humans last week. To understand the difference between “needs” and “wants”, they made a list of what they would take if they were going on a camping trip, and divided the list between things they would really need for the trip versus things they might want to take. They also created a Fundamental Needs poster to distinguish between Spiritual Needs and Material Needs. Students brought in small items from home to put in the pockets of the chart.
