Ms. Mulligan’s 3rd Grade class continued their work on the 6+1 Traits of Writing by writing stories using 2 specific traits last week, which were Organization (making sure the writing grabs the writer’s attention and follows a logical sequence) and Conventions (capitalization, punctuation, proofreading, and editing). The students were given a story prompt to take a fairytale and make it their own, and their story needed to have a beginning, middle, and end. Their stories and accompanying artwork are currently displayed on their bulletin board.
