3rd Grade students gave a presentation about the character value “Respect” at February’s First Friday Assembly. Many students wore colorful costumes representing people from all over the world. The 3rd Graders started their presentation with a slideshow that they had created in their Technology classes. The slides showed images that the students had selected to demonstrate the Fundamental Needs of Humans, including shelter, nutrition, physical health, religion and philosophy, social acceptance, communication, transportation. The final slide summed up their presentation with the words “We are all Different, We are all One, Respect Everyone”. Then, the students sang and danced to the song “We Are One (Ole Ola)”, which was the official song for the FIFA World Cup 2014 event. It was a very colorful and moving presentation that was greatly enjoyed by family and friends in the audience.
