4th Grade – California History Presentations

May 28 / 2015

4th Grade students presented their California History projects to classmates. The study of California history in 4th Grade is part of the state standards, as well as the ECDS curriculum, so these projects are very important milestones for 4th Graders to show what they have learned this year. Each student traveled with their family to a historical landmark, and they created their presentations using a variety of materials including posters, models, digital slideshows, and photo albums. Presentation topics included Rancho de Guajome, the Santa Fe Depot, the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, Yosemite National Park, San Luis Rey Mission, Old Town San Diego, the Hotel Del Coronado, Mission San Luis Obispo, La Brea Tar Pits, and the Chinese Telephone Exchange.
