The 4th Grade classes went on a field trip to the Star of India Maritime Museum in downtown San Diego last Thursday. This is one of their most exciting field trips of the year, where they learn about California history from the perspective of sailors during the time of the California Gold Rush. During their tour of different sections of the ship, they learned about the tasks that sailors were required to perform and what it was really like to live on the ship during that time period.
