BIZ TOWN, a mini city in San Diego designed to give students hands-on experiences in businesses ranging from banks to dental practices, veterinary offices to TV stations, hosted nearly 100 ECDS 4th, 5th, and 6th graders for a day to remember. 30 ECDS parent volunteers, along with 7 ECDS teachers, teamed up with BIZ TOWN staff members to guide students through a day in the life of front-line workers, middle managers, and CEO’s at a variety of businesses. Students earned paychecks, made bank deposits and withdrawals, and purchased their lunches and snacks.
