ECDS students were given a special presentation of Classical Indian music from the country of India during the week of March 23-27. A guest musician demonstrates the Sitar instrument, and he was accompanied by Mr. Jesse on Drums and Mrs. Crawford on the Harmonium while they played a classical Indian song. The musician explained the difference between Indian music and Western music to the students. He also explained how the Sitar is constructed and played very differently from a guitar, and Mr. Jesse explained how Indian drums are constructed and played.
