The National Education Association’s 18th annual “Read Across America Day” celebration of reading and Dr. Seuss’s birthday was on Monday, March 2. Ms. Maggie’s and Mrs. Olson’s Kindergarten classes celebrated on Monday with lots of fun activities, and the celebration continued all week with special guests reading Dr. Seuss books to the Kindergarten students each day. Guest readers included Mr. Lehmunn, ECDS Principal, Mr. Rowe, ECDS Middle School English/History teacher, and Mr. Kraig Kidd-Dragula, ECDS Drama teacher. Mrs. Bremermann’s and Mrs. Herrschaft’s 1st Grade classes also celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday with lots of fun activities related to Dr. Seuss including word searches, artwork, games, and reading Dr. Seuss books.
