On September 26th, Encinitas Country Day School celebrated two decades serving students at its TK-8th grade campus. The commemoration was led by ECDS Principal Robyn Hayes, with ECDS Founder and Executive Director Kathleen Porterfield recounting some of the school’s memorable milestones and reading a selection of prayers written by students. ECDS Performing Arts teachers performed a series of songs that accentuated the themes of gratitude and flight that were featured in the program. The celebration concluded with selected students releasing twenty doves to commemorate the school’s first 20 years at their elementary and Middle School campus on Manchester Ave in Encinitas. ECDS is now in its 38th school year, currently serving students on two beautiful campuses.
