Spring Festival day at both ECDS campuses was on Friday, March 27. The day was filled with fun and exciting activities in celebration of the Spring season. There was a wide variety of activities for students at the Manchester Avenue campus, including egg hunts, creating washcloth rabbits, face painting, creating clay animals, easter egg relay races, scavenger hunts, gardening, and much more. ECDS was visited by Sam Bearpaw, an Apache Native American, during the Spring Festival. He told the students about the elaborate yellow and black regalia that he wore, and he explained why his regalia was decorated with eagle feathers and bells. He also performed a warrior’s dance, and then he invited ECDS teachers, parents, and students to do a traditional Friendship dance on stage with him. Spring Festival is always a great way to end the week before Spring Break!
