The first week of the 2024-25 school year concluded with 1st through 8th grade students enthusiastically gathering in the ECDS amphitheater for the September First Friday Assembly.
Principal Lehmunn started the program by leading students in the Pledge of Allegiance and singing God Bless America.
He then handed-off the coveted Field Meet competition trophies to last year’s grade-level winners — third grade in the 3rd/4th/5th division and sixth grade in the 6th/7th/8th division — to display in their classrooms until this school year’s competition takes place in June 2025.
Mr. Lehmunn also distributed a Character Trait box to a representative from each grade, signifying the trait that students in that grade will present on stage in a performance at an upcoming First Friday Character Trait Assembly.
