The Kindergarten students had a visit from the Encinitas Fire Department last week. The firefighters described each of their jobs on their 3-man crew, and talked with the students about how to be safe in a fire by staying low underneath the smoke. Then, the firefighters showed the students their firefighting equipment that they carry on the fire engine, and they even let the students look inside the fire engine to imagine what it would be like to drive it.
