Last Friday, the Kindergarten classes had a visit from a volunteer who works for the The Flower Fields in Carlsbad, to enhance their Botany lessons. The volunteer explained all about seeds, flowers, and bulbs/tubers and how plants grow, as well as how the staff at the Flower Fields harvest seeds from the ranunculus plants to plant for each year’s flower crop.
